More info
The skin around your eyes is thinner than the rest of your face and has fewer oil glands. As a result, it dries out faster and is often the first place to show tiredness and fine lines. A regular face cream can feel too heavy there, which is why a dedicated eye product makes sense.
FRESH Eye Serum: A Morning Pick-Me-Up
Eye Serum has an ultra-light gel texture that feels cool the moment it touches your skin. It helps the eye area look less puffy and more awake, and it softens the look of dark circles. Tiny light-reflecting minerals give an instant brightening effect.
FRESH Eye Serum Hero ingredients:
- Peptides: palmitoyl tripeptide-1 (0.02%) and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 (0.001%) help skin tone look more even, acetyl hexapeptide-8 (0.005%) helps fade the look of dark circles, and acetyl tetrapeptide-5 (0.001%) smooths.
- Cornflower water (5%): a calming floral water that forms part of the base.
- Baobab (1.5%): the oil conditions the skin, and the fruit pulp extract (0.5%) gives an immediate smoothing, firming effect that softens fine lines.
- Pumpkin seed extract (1%): naturally rich in spermidine, amino acids, and polyphenols, it helps tired skin look fresher and more radiant, at its studied level.
- Sea buckthorn extract (2%): targets pigment-related dark circles, puffiness, and signs of fatigue, also at its studied level.
- Hawthorn flower and jasmine flower extracts (0.03% each): hawthorn helps keep puffiness down, and jasmine helps lighten shadows.
- Skin comfort: niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3 (2%), lactic acid bacteria ferment (0.25%), and cellulose (0.5%) for a velvety finish.
- Hydration: pentylene glycol (3%), propanediol (2.4%), isosorbide dicaprylate (2%), arginine (about 1%), glycerin (0.85%), and hyaluronic acid (0.1%).
- Instant lift and glow: honey locust seed extract (1%) leaves a flexible, invisible film that smooths fine lines on contact, while mica (0.14%) and titanium dioxide (0.12%) add a soft, light-reflecting glow.
- Antioxidants: vitamin E (0.3%) and rice bran-derived sodium phytate (0.3%).
FRESH Eye Cream: Long-Term Nourishment
Eye Cream is built for consistent use. Over weeks, it supports the moisture barrier and helps the eye area look smoother, firmer, and more supple. It suits dry and mature skin especially well. RINGANA lists the exact concentration of each key ingredient, which you rarely see from a skincare brand.
FRESH Eye Cream Hero ingredients:
- Peptides: carnosine (0.10%) helps the skin look renewed, acetyl tetrapeptide-5 (0.05%) supports moisture, acetyl tetrapeptide-2 (0.05%) smooths, and dipeptide-2 (0.03%) targets dark circles. The two tetrapeptides are used at the strengths tested in studies.
- Barrier support: centella PDRN (1%) and a bakuchiol derivative (1%, with 0.27% bakuchiol nicotinate) encourage skin renewal.
- Ceramides and cholesterol: ceramide NP (0.021%) calms skin and limits moisture loss, ceramide NS (0.012%) holds water for a smooth, elastic surface, ceramide EOP (0.006%) helps rebuild the barrier’s structure, and ceramide AP (0.0045%) refines rough texture. Cholesterol (0.021%) helps the ceramides do their job.
- Brightening botanicals: phytoplankton essence (3%) combines plankton extract, which helps lighten under-eye circles, with antioxidant aspen bark extract. Resurrection plant extract (3%) helps skin look smoother. All three actives are used at their studied levels.
- Hydration: glycerin (6.12%), pentylene glycol (2.09%), and hyaluronic acid in high and low molecular weights (0.18% combined).
- Lipids: squalane (4%), prickly pear seed oil (3%), evening primrose oil (2%), shea butter (2%), and cupuacu butter (1%) nourish the skin, support the barrier, and help protect it from environmental stress.
- Antioxidants: magnolia bark extract (0.3%), rice bran-derived sodium phytate (0.1%), and vitamin E (0.1%).
For plant extracts, RINGANA lists both the amount of the extract and the smaller amount of its active compound, since extracts also contain natural companion substances.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Choose FRESH Eye Serum if puffiness, dark circles, or a tired look in the morning bother you most.
- Choose FRESH Eye Cream if the skin around your eyes feels dry, or you want to address fine lines and firmness over time.
- They also work well as a pair. RINGANA suggests the serum in the morning for a fresh look and the cream at night for deeper nourishment.
What Studies Show
RINGANA asked users how each product performed:
- FRESH Eye Serum (28 people): 89.2% said their eye area felt fresher, 82.1% said their eyes looked more radiant, 78.5% said the area looked more rested, and 75% said it felt smoother.
- FRESH Eye Cream (24 people): 91.6% said their eye area felt deeply nourished, 83.3% said puffiness looked reduced, and 75% said the area looked firmer.
How To Use
Use your ring finger or fingertips to pat, not rub, a small amount around the eye. Work from the inner corner toward the outer corner, and include the eyelids if you like. Give it a moment to absorb before your next step.
- FRESH Eye Serum: Apply in the morning to clean, dry skin. You can reapply during the day whenever your eyes need a refresh.
- FRESH Eye Cream: Apply in the morning, at night, or both, after cleansing.
Why These Eye Products Earned A Spot Here
Many eye creams are simply a face cream in a smaller jar. These two are designed specifically for thin, delicate skin. The serum gives a fast, visible refresh, and the cream focuses on the barrier and long-term firmness. I’m also impressed that RINGANA publishes the percentage of every key ingredient in both products, and that many of the actives match the levels used in studies. That kind of disclosure lets you see exactly what you’re paying for.
The company itself is part of the reason I recommend these products. RINGANA, still run by its founding family after three decades, sells in 38 countries and manufactures everything at its own facility in Austria in its first year. And then they will be producing in their own facility in Virginia. It also releases a yearly report on how it operates. For more, see my RINGANA Review.
