My Green Mattress has a GOTS certification for the entire mattress, not just its components.  However, in light of the Avocado lawsuit and its dismissal, a GOTS certification is not enough for me to recommend mattresses with confidence to you.  Before you decide to shop My Green Mattress, please read below.

More info

Please know that My Green Mattress’ parent company, Quality Sleep Shop, makes and sells mattresses with Certi-PUR polyurethane foam.  In my opinion, this signals a lack of commitment to organic and sustainable practices. Personally, I am not very comfortable with companies that can go both ways.  You can learn more about that in my Are Organic Mattresses Worth It? blog post.

However, I understand that some of you might be looking for a low-cost mattress.  That’s why My Green Mattress is in my shop.

The Emily Organic Crib mattress (6″ high) has a 10-year warranty and a 120-night sleep trial.  It features a GOTS-certified organic quilted cover with GOTS-certified organic wool sewn in underneath, a certified organic coconut pad bound together with organic latex, and an innerspring system.  The weight limit for the crib mattress is 50 lbs.  Keep in mind that some people can be allergic to natural or organic latex.  As adults, we know if we are allergic, but babies don’t know and can’t talk.  Also, waterproof mattresses prevent exposure to harmful bacteria that can develop inside the mattress.  That’s why I highly recommend choosing a Naturepedic crib mattress.

My Green Mattress Kiwi  (9.5″ high) is a firm option for growing kids with an innerspring system, Dunlop organic latex, and an organic cotton and wool cover.  It has a 20-year warranty and offers a Kiwi Bunk Bed mattress option.  By the way, the Naturepedic kids’ mattress that my son sleeps on is more affordable, and I have a 15% discount code for it.

The Natural Escape Mattress (11″ high) is medium-firm and is recommended for all body types, as well as stomach, back, and side sleepers.  It consists of an innerspring system, a layer of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex foam, and an organic cotton and wool quilted cover. Additionally, there is a 120-night sleep trial period with an opportunity to exchange or return your mattress at any time during that time.  Plus, they provide a 20-year warranty.

My Green Mattress offers only a medium level of firmness. Keep in mind that most people need softer mattresses than they initially thought. Thus, if you are looking for softer mattresses, please know that Naturepedic mattresses are very customizable and allow you to choose ANY level of firmness.

And if you are looking for a latex-free mattress, please refer to my post Best Latex-Free Organic Mattress.  FYI, my #1 recommended brand’s Naturepedic Chorus latex-free mattress is 10″ high.
