In our opinion, Blueland dishwasher tablets and dish soap powder ingredients are non-toxic. Both products are free of fragrance and ethoxylated ingredients and are designed to work even in hard water. Be careful not to inhale the dish soap powder, if it gets airborne.
Note that we do not recommend those products by Blueland that contain fragrance or synthetic dyes.

After studying the whole industry of dishwasher and dish detergents, we deemed Blueland dishwasher tablets and dish soap powder to be non-toxic, in our opinion. Blueland dishwasher tablets and dish soap powder are both fragrance-free. They are also free of ethoxylated ingredients, and it is not easy to find well-performing dishwasher detergent and dish soap without them. It is important to avoid ethoxylated ingredients because this study concluded that the residue of ethoxylated ingredients on dishes might lead to chronic inflammatory diseases by damaging the gut epithelial barrier (aka leaky gut).
Blueland dishwasher detergent and dish soap are designed to work even in hard water. Our dishes come out sparkling clean. Mind you, though, currently, we have soft water (thanks to a water softener) that makes the work of any detergent and soap easier.
Also, please be careful with adding the dish soap powder to your sponge because if it gets airborne, you may inhale it, and we don’t want that! Alternatively, you can add dish powder to the water in the sink.
Keep in mind, we don’t recommend all Blueland products because some of them contain fragrance or synthetic dyes.
Yet, I believe it is a great idea to try Blueland dishwasher tablets and dish soap powder because Blueland made every attempt to manufacture non-toxic, well-performing products without adding to plastic pollution. And I applaud them for that!
