Pique tea powder is a great alternative to bagged tea.  To use Pique bag-free USDA certified organic tea powder, just pour it out of its sachet into the water and stir.  According to the company, they have conducted dozens of tests to ensure that their teas do not contain any packaging residue, or detectable levels of mold, heavy metals, and pesticides.  Read below for more information and the flavors I have tried and enjoyed.

Pique tea powder is an excellent alternative to bagged tea.  It is a little-known fact that tea bags are often a source of many concerning substances.  Sign up for an email here to see the results of our 2023 research into tea bag materials.

To use Pique bag-free organic tea powder, just pour it out of its sachet into the water and stir.  The downside is that the sachets are not recyclable because they are coated with plastic.  However, this concern is valid for the loose-leaf tea brands as well because we do not know all the materials their packaging is made from.

According to Pique, they have conducted dozens of tests to ensure that their teas do not contain any packaging residue.  This confirms the idea that normally plastic does not leach into dry content unless the latter is rough and scratchy, but the tea powder is fine and soft.

Additionally, they have conducted triple toxin screening to ensure that their teas do not contain any detectable levels of mold, heavy metals, and pesticides.  As for matcha, the test results for radioactive elements are reflected in the Certificate of Analysis, and the levels are all below even their very strict detectable levels.
