Earthley powder laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent are made with simple ingredients, including washing soda, baking soda, and soap. They might not work well in hard water, though.  (Consider getting help with purchasing a water softener.)  The scented versions of both laundry and dishwasher detergents use essential oils only.  For more information, read below.

More info

Earthley laundry detergent contains a plant enzyme called bromelain. Be careful not to get the detergent airborne and not to inhale it because, if regularly inhaled in large quantities, it may cause respiratory irritation and sensitization.  However, with appropriate handling of the detergent, the exposure to enzymes is insignificant.  Importantly, enzymes help with performance substantially.  If you prefer non-toxic laundry detergents without enzymes, check out Meliora Laundry Powder or Humble Suds Laundry Soap.
