Two organic toners, made fresh in small batches, that you mist or swipe on right after cleansing to refresh and prepare your skin. Toner Calm comforts dry skin, sensitive, or mature skin, while Toner Pure helps oily and combination skin look less shiny and more refined. Both can be used on the face and the body, and both are lightweight botanical mists that absorb quickly without leaving residue. Apply my code IREADLABELS for $25 off on $60+ orders (and free shipping on $100+).

Below: the key ingredients in each toner, which one fits your skin, how to apply them, RINGANA’s user study results, and how to buy.

More info

A toner bridges the gap between cleansing and the rest of your routine. It refreshes the skin, adds a first layer of moisture, and leaves your face ready for serum and cream. Both RINGANA toners start with aloe leaf juice and also contain catnip water, glycerin, and a lactic acid bacteria ferment. Each comes with a fine-mist spray, so you can apply it directly or with a cotton pad.

FRESH Toner Calm: For Dry, Sensitive, Or Mature Skin

Toner Calm is a lightweight, fast-absorbing toner for skin that feels dry, tight, or easily stressed. It hydrates and soothes, so skin feels calm, comfortable, and balanced after cleansing. You can also use it anywhere on your body.

Toner Calm Key ingredients

  • Lactobacillus ferment (3%): helps skin feel comfortable and soothed, and supports the look and feel of a healthy skin barrier.
  • Mulberry leaf extract (2%): smooths and refines the look of skin.
  • Licorice root extract (1%): helps calm the skin.
  • Aloe leaf juice: the base of the formula, which adds moisture and soothes.

FRESH Toner Pure: For Oily, Combination, Or Blemish-Prone Skin

Toner Pure is a leave-on toner that helps soak up excess oil and leaves skin feeling clarified and fresh without heaviness. RINGANA labels it microbiome-friendly. It also works on the back after showering, if that area tends to get blemishes.

Toner Pure Key ingredients

  • Witch hazel, cypress, horsetail, and thyme extracts (1% blend): hydrate, soothe, and tone.
  • Mushroom extracts, green tea extract, and a yeast ferment (2% blend): leave skin feeling balanced and looking refreshed and hydrated.
  • Noni stem cell extract (1%): helps reduce shine and makes pores look smaller.
  • Catnip water (2%): helps skin look clearer and more toned.
  • Zinc PCA (1%): helps reduce shine and keeps skin hydrated.
  • Aloe leaf juice: moisturizes and calms.

Which One Should You Choose?

  • Choose Toner Calm if your skin is dry, sensitive, mature, or turns red easily.
  • Choose Toner Pure if your skin gets oily or shiny, or if you’re prone to blemishes, including on your back.

What Studies Show

RINGANA’s research center asked users how each toner felt:

  • Toner Calm (23 people): 91.3% said their skin felt relaxed, 82.6% said it felt hydrated, and 73.9% said it felt smooth, soft, and supple.
  • Toner Pure (19 people): right after the first use, 100% said the toner felt comfortable and 84.2% said their skin felt hydrated. After 4 weeks of twice-daily use, 78.9% said their skin felt more hydrated and soothed, and 63.2% said it felt less tight and looked less oily.

How To Use

  • Shake the bottle first. After cleansing, mist the toner over your face, neck, and chest, or apply it with a cotton pad. Let it absorb fully, then follow with your serum and cream. Keep the spray away from your eyes, and avoid breathing in the mist.
  • Toner Calm: use it on your body as well, wherever skin feels dry. Wait until it absorbs before getting dressed.
  • Toner Pure: for blemish-prone skin on the back, spray it on after your shower and let it dry before dressing. Regular use gives the best results.

Why These Toners Earned A Spot Here

Both toners are certified COSMOS Organic, the higher tier of the COSMOS standard. An independent certifier reviews each formula, how its ingredients are sourced and processed, and how the product is manufactured. A minimum share of the ingredients must also come from organic farming.

I appreciate that these toners do real work in a routine instead of acting as scented water. Aloe juice forms the base instead of plain water, and each formula lists its key ingredients with percentages, so it’s easy to see what each one brings.

The company’s track record matters to me too. For 30 years, RINGANA has stayed in the hands of its founding family. It now serves customers in 38 countries, produces everything at its own facility in Austria, and shares a transparency report every year. You’ll find more background in my RINGANA Review.
