Why these drops
Eyeganics Organic Tears contains three ingredients: organic glycerin (an oil from certified organic vegetables), salt, and water. Glycerin is the lubricant. It holds moisture on the surface of your eye, which is the whole job of an artificial tear.
Living in the high desert of Colorado, I deal with dry eyes almost daily. These drops give me long-lasting moisture without irritation, and my contact lenses are much more comfortable when I use them.
The only USDA-certified organic eye drop
Most “natural” claims on a label are marketing. USDA organic certification is different: it verifies what a product is made of, not just what it promises. For these drops, that means the glycerin comes from certified organic vegetables, with no synthetic chemicals, no GMOs, and no artificial additives.
As of this writing, no other eye drop on the market carries this certification.
How the bottle skips preservatives safely
Most multi-use eye drops need a preservative to keep bacteria out of the bottle after opening. The usual way around that is single-use plastic vials, which you toss after one drop.
Eyeganics took a third route: a bottle engineered to protect the formula from contamination, so no preservative is needed. One 10 ml bottle holds over 250 drops. Dispensing takes a steady, sustained squeeze, which feels a little different from a standard dropper at first.
