Clearlight saunas are far infrared saunas. They induce sweat that helps detoxification. There is no lacquer or wood finish on the wood for the sauna interior. Heal with Heat is one of the Clearlight dealers. I like the fact that they are not pushy and offer a lot of educational information. Feel free to contact them with any questions you may have. Mention my name Irina Webb of I Read Labels For You to get a discount. For more information, read below.
Studies into the health benefits of saunas are done on Finnish steam or dry-heat saunas or FIR saunas. I have not seen any studies on near-infrared saunas.
Here are the studies:
- Pain relief
- Muscle soreness relief
- Improves blood circulation
- Headache relief
- Reduced risk of fatal cardiovascular disease
- Help for those with chronic fatigue syndrome
- Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) reduction (only comes with sweating)
Healthy Building Science, bau-biologists who I hired to inspect my house for EMF, tested for EMF and found very low EMF. You can read more about that here.
The far infrared saunas come in two types of wood: Western Red Canadian Cedar or North American Basswood Cedar. As you might know, cedar has a stronger smell than basswood. So if you are very sensitive to wood smell, get basswood. Another nice feature is that they offer a lifetime warranty. Currently, I do not own any saunas. But it is on my dream list. When I can afford a sauna, I will definitely get a Clearlight sauna.
