Cuisinart Air Fryer + Convection Toaster Oven, made of stainless steel, is the closest to a “non-toxic” air fryer option I have found so far after extensive research into air fryers. I use it with some adjustments. For more information, read below.

I know many of you have been looking for a non-toxic air fryer. As it happens, I did extensive research into air fryers, and my conclusion is that currently there are no absolutely “non-toxic” air fryers on the market. Some are better than others though.

Thus, to personally inspect it myself, I even purchased a Cuisinart Air Fryer + Convection Toaster Oven, and with slight adjustments, it’s good to go. Specifically, I won’t be using its grill (even with parchment paper underneath) because of the PTFE non-stick coating that can release potentially harmful fumes.

Also, the baking pan/drip tray is made of aluminum. However, since aluminum does not produce fumes, I believe it’s okay to use it as a drip tray. If you want to use it as a baking pan, it is best to line it with parchment paper. The air fryer basket and oven rack are made of chrome-plated steel, which is okay to use with parchment paper. To be on the safe side, I also purchased the P&P Chef 12.5 stainless steel baking tray and rack. Although I usually avoid brands without a website, this was the only available option, and it appears to be genuinely made of stainless steel.
