I love the ranking system in the list.
Before purchasing the e-book, I was overwhelmed with what was actually considered safe. Water wipes seemed like an obvious choice, but I was wrong. I still remember buying a big box of Kirkland Premium Baby Wipes from Costco in 2012. Then I started looking at the ingredients for product safety and was shocked to learn (after tons of research) Costco was using a formaldehyde-releasing preservative at the time.
I never used those Kirkland Premium baby wipes! Instead, I wrote a popular blog post and parents commented that their poor babies were screaming from pain. Two years later, after an outcry from enraged customers, Costco removed the formaldehyde-releasing preservative from their baby wipes, and other baby wipes companies followed suit.
Those baby wipes led me down a research rabbit hole and I’m so thankful that they did. Now, I conduct consumer product research and provide consumer, manufacturer, and retailer education for a living so that we can all make safe, healthful choices when it comes to the products we use.
